We are proud to announce that our Liverpool Football Club Matchday Team has been named Best Team in the North West at the Regional British Security Awards.
Organised by the British Security Industry Association, the British Security Awards celebrate the achievements, acts of bravery and innovations of the professional security industry.
Our journey with Liverpool Football Club began back in August 2022 when our Best Trained Team were contracted to provide 50 Safety Stewards for home games. After receiving glowing reviews from our initial deployments, our remit was expanded, and we now proudly deploy more than double our original team.
Our Matchday Leadership Team, including Jay Ugalde, Operations Manager, and Henry Boynton, Senior Supervisor, has been the driving force behind our success at Anfield, offering their support and acting as mentors to our now key matchday supervisors John , Frank, Sue, Rebecca, and Ian.
With support from FGH Training, Jay ensures his team live up to our value of #BeGreatTodayBetterTomorrow; and just this year has upskilled 30 of the team in Safeguarding, with our supervisors also embarking on courses like L3 Spectator Safety Supervision and L5 Crowd Management. Jay has also embarked on L6 Counter Terrorism Risk Management at the University of Cumbria.
Over the summer months, Anfield saw P!NK’s Summer Carnival Tour for 2 nights and Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour for 3 nights. At the start of the 24/25 season, the new Fan Park opened, accommodating 2,000 fans to enter for free pre-match. The park often has special guests and is frequented by the LFC mascot, Big Red, and is now included within our deployment remit.
