We’re proud to share that Lewis Johnson has been awarded the Outstanding Act Award at this year’s regional British Security Awards and is now heading to the national finals!
Organised by the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), the British Security Awards celebrate the achievements, acts of bravery, and innovation within the professional security industry. To be recognised at this level is a incredible achievement
Lewis joined FGH Security at the end of 2022 as part of our Matchday Team at Liverpool Football Club. The following summer, he became part of our Events & Festivals Team and has been a familiar and trusted face ever since.
At FGH, our purpose is Keeping People Safe. Occasionally, our team is called to act in moments that can change lives—sometimes even save them. That moment came for Lewis while working as a Security Officer at a festival last summer. Trusting his instincts, Lewis identified what he believed to be a safeguarding concern. His decision to act quickly meant he was able to intervene in a situation that prevented the harm of a young child, ensuring their safety and well-being.
For this exceptional act, he was named our FGH Hero earlier this year and was formally presented with a Certificate of Excellence on stage by Chief Superintendent Ben Clark. The Thames Valley police where on site during the incident and praised Lewis for his quick thinking and unwavering persistence
