We are proud to announce that John Bolton has been named ‘Rising Star of the Year (Qualified)’ at this year’s North West Finance Awards.
This award is presented to the most passionate, driven, and delivery-focused qualified finance professional in the market. The winner of the qualified award will be a finance professional with less than five years of post-qualified experience. They will have provided examples of high achievement and outperforming their peer group.
John joined our frontline team as a student while studying at Lancaster University, before successfully applying for an office role after graduating. In just under four years, John progressed from Graduate Management Accountant to Head of Finance—a position he was promoted to at the beginning of 2024 following the completion of his CIMA.
John has played a vital role in the growth of our organisation. He is responsible for the creation of a group accounting structure and successfully setting up companies in both the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Ireland. He has also played a pivotal role in the acquisition of Mitre Group, where he acted as Finance Lead.
John’s expertise has seen him sit on multiple FGH Group boards, contributing to key decision-making, assessing business risks and shaping the future direction of our organisation.
