We are proud to announce that Gary Phelan was named a winner at the Regional British Security Awards for his Outstanding Act last year.
Organised by the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), the British Security Awards celebrate the achievements, acts of bravery, and innovation within the professional security industry, and to be recognised at this level is an incredible achievement.
Gary joined FGH Security back in 2019 as our Security Manager for Albert’s Schloss, Manchester, overseeing our team of Door Supervisors to ensure the delivery of a world-class customer experience and our purpose of Keeping People Safe.
Over the years, Gary has fully embodied our core value of Look After Our Team at Albert Schloss, personally interviewing, training, and developing members for his team. Gary always ensures we always have the Best Trained Team on the door, playing a key role in training initiatives between FGH and Mission Mars, shaping new programmes and delivering them to the team, with a key focus on development, progression and being Great Today Better Tomorrow.
Last year, Gary was named our FGH hero for delivering emergency first aid to an individual outside of his venue’s remit, keeping them alive until the emergency services arrived.
Arran Perry, Regional Manager who presented the award, praised Gary, saying, “His quick thinking and professional nature ultimately saved someone’s life—this is something to be incredibly proud of.”
