We’re proud to announce that both Ben Knott, Operations Director, and Peter Harrison, Founder and Managing Director, have been named in The GuardPass 100, a curated list of influential figures across the UK security industry.
Compiled by the team at GuardPass, the list recognises those who have made a significant impact on improving the UK’s security infrastructure, strategy, and best practice across multiple sub-sectors.
Each person selected was recognised for their role, achievements, and ongoing contribution to the industry – whether through leadership, innovation, regulation, technology, or education.
The article highlighted Pete’s continued drive to raise standards in the industry:
“Harrison plays an instrumental role in bringing an innovative and scientific approach to security improvement. Beyond his role at FGH Security, he serves as Vice Chair of the United Kingdom Crowd Management Association (UKCMA) and Chair of the Manchester City Security Council, helping make Manchester a safer city. Additionally, he is an active reservist with the Royal Marines Commandos, reflecting his dedication to public service and national security.”
Ben was also praised for his role in ensuring outstanding service delivery.
“Ben oversees service delivery, ensuring frontline teams are well-supported and that clients receive top-tier security services. His work has been instrumental in the organisation’s success and helping FGH Security join the BSIA in 2024. Under Ben’s operational leadership, FGH Security was recognised as a Sunday Times Top 100 Employer in 2019. Knott continues to engage in industry-wide initiatives and discussions with regulators to support progress in the private security sector.”
Reflecting on the recognition, Pete commented:
“It’s an honour to be recognised alongside individuals shaping the standards, policies, and innovations of our industry. FGH Security was created 22 years ago, and while the industry has moved forward, there’s still a long way to go.”
Congratulations to all those named key figures on the Top 100 list; you’ve all made significant contributions to the industry that deserve to be celebrated.
